> Food Justice in NYC: Get Involved! – February 28th
> New York City is home to one of the largest food distribution centers in the world, yet certain neighborhoods continue to suffer disproportionately from hunger and diet-related diseases. Meanwhile, our nation’s healthcare costs are skyrocketing; farmers and foodworkers are forced to endure unjust working conditions; and agricultural practices undermine environmental sustainability. Faith Leaders for Environmental Justice, in partnership with the Federation of Protestant Welfare Agencies’ New York Faith & Justice Food Justice Working Group, will be holding a meeting for faith leaders and community members interested in bringing conversations about food and environmental justice to faith-based organizations. The training will be held on Thursday, February 28th from 9:00-11:00am at The Riverside Church (475 Riverside Drive, New York, NY 10115), room 10T. Please RSVP to Sarah at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>. Please see attached flyer for more information.
