Tanya Zuckerbrot Nutrition & Associates, an upscale midtown Manhattan Nutrition Consulting Practice is looking for interns who are currently enrolled as a Nutrition/Dietetics student or planning to follow a path in this industry.
The internship program provides an opportunity to gain first-hand experience in dietetic counseling, media/marketing and business/entrepreneurial skills. Interns can expect a letter of recommendation (including a list of skills learned) after completion of the program. Ideal candidates for the internship program are those with a strong nutritional knowledge background, passionate about nutrition, and have great communication skills.
Interns must be able to commit to a minimum of 2 full days per week, for 8-12 weeks, to qualify for the program.
Media Intern Responsibilites
· Assist in monitoring the social web, using various analytical programs.
· Research blogs that align with the brand, messaging and marketing pillars
· Research other competitive and/or non-competing brands' (within industry/category) social media activities
· Assist social with creating relevant, engaging content that aligns with brand as well as resonates with brand's target demographic.
· Assist in researching and writing content
· Assist with publishing company newsletter
· Assist with event coordination
· Assist with media appearances
· Create and maintain press kits
Job Requirements:
· Must be able to dedicate 2 full workdays per week; this is an unpaid internship.
· Familiarity with social networks and social bookmarking (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn)
· Marketing/branding interest
· Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
· Excellent communication skills a must (oral and written)
· Self-driven to achieve goals; high energy level is essential; strong, dedicated work ethic
· Strong attention to detail
