Scholarships are Available and More!
Dear Dietetics Educator,
Did you know that Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics student members are eligible for over $500,000 in scholarships every year?
That’s right! The Academy Foundation annually awards scholarships ranging from $500 to $10,000. Graduate scholarships, dietetic internship scholarships, undergraduate (didactic or coordinated) scholarships and dietetic technician scholarships are all available.
In order to be eligible for Academy scholarships, your students must be members of the Academy and scholarship applications must be postmarked by February 15, 2014!
To help your students register for Academy membership, forward this important membership information below to your students:
To Join - Any student who registers for membership by April 30, 2014 can start their membership immediately and carry it through May 31, 2015 – that’s up to 16 months of membership! Just make sure to enter promo code ST15 when joining online at www.eatright.org/myAcademy/join/find.aspx<http://mailer.eatright.org/t/26123/18537986/16474/40/> or mention it when calling the Academy Member Service Center to join by phone at 800/877-1600, ext. 5000 (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., CST).
Graduates - Students who have completed their degree program, or have recently become RDN or DTR eligible, can join or renew through the Career Starter Dues Program. This program provides highly discounted dues to those in their first five years of Active membership eligibility. Call the Academy at 800/877-1600, ext. 5000 to learn more.
Membership Renewal - Dues renewal invoices for the 2014-2015 membership year will be mailed to current Academy Student members in March 2014. The Academy encourages students to log into their myAcademy<http://mailer.eatright.org/t/26123/18537986/36263/41/> profiles to update all contact information, and be on the lookout for notices to renew.
