Subject: For December graduates - teaching position in Tanzania

Dear colleagues,

We have one more opening for the WorldTeach Tanzania Semester program that
we're hoping to fill in the next few days. This is a 9-week teaching
position on Mafia-Island. Volunteers will co-teach and live with local
teachers. The program will depart in early January, and the volunteer
commitment is $3990, which covers airfare, health insurance, room and
board, training and support. To apply, please email a resume and cover
letter to [log in to unmask]

[WorldTeach is a non-profit, non-governmental organization based at the
Harvard Center for International Development that provides opportunities
for individuals to make a meaningful contribution to international
education by living and working as volunteer teachers in developing
countries. For the past 25 years, WorldTeach has partnered with governments
and other organizations to place over 5,000 talented teachers around the
world to meet local needs and promote responsible global citizenship.]

I've also included below a recent newsletter on this program. I would be so
grateful if you could forward this email to interested students, especially
December graduates.

Many thanks,
Thanh Nguyen
Director of Outreach and Administration

it is possible to reach the students of this gorgeous district, known for
its breathtaking scenery, beaches, scuba diving, and snorkeling.

WorldTeach hopes to help the District's students improve their language
abilities and test scores through the program. Each WorldTeach volunteer
will be partnered with a recent graduate from a Tanzanian Teachers' College
to co-teach in the same classroom. Volunteers will have their own rooms,
but may share common space with other volunteers and local teachers.

News From the Field
This summer, the WorldTeach volunteers in Tanzania were welcomed at the
U.S. Embassy for a series of presentations on U.S.-Tanzania partnership
programs. We were thrilled to launch the second year of this program, which
was made possible by WorldTeach alum and former U.S. Ambassador to
Tanzania, Mark Green. Read more about the visit
