CUNY SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH
Job announcement: PT Research Aide/Field Screeners for New York City Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NYC HANES) We are looking for energetic and outgoing individuals to work as field screeners on an exciting NYC-based health study from January through March 2014. The study, the NYC Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, is being conducted by the CUNY School of Public Health (CUNY SPH) and the NYC Health Department (see www.nychanes.org<http://www.nychanes.org> ). The study design selects a random sample of 3000 New York City homes, and field screeners play an integral role in making the first face-to-face contact with selected households, and determining which, if any, household members are eligible to participate. Field screeners excited about making a difference in the health of New Yorkers will make the study a success!
NYC HANES was first conducted in 2004, and the current NYC HANES study is being conducted 10 years later to assess changes in health status over time and evaluate the impact of municipal policies in improving health.
