A 200-bed long-term care facility in Great Neck, NY is in need of a part time clinical dietitian, non-RDs welcome, we will train you if needed.

Job description
The purpose of this position is to support the maintenance and daily operation of CookShop, a nutrition education program reaching SNAP-eligible children, teens and adults throughout the five boroughs, and additional school-based services, such as pantries. The Nutrition and Health Services Associate will serve as a liaison to CookShop schools and sites, providing technical support to school staff coordinating and implementing the program in their schools/sites, and coordinating and leading trainings. This position will also be responsible for assisting with the development/enhancement of nutrition education programs and training curricula.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide technical assistance to CookShop schools/sites, teachers and school administration to support the implementation of a comprehensive nutrition education program citywide travel required;
Assist with site recruitment, training, and supervision;
Assist with the creation of program and training curricula, including drafting, reviewing and revising materials;
Ensure program curricula are implemented in accordance with approved standards;
Process all program documentation including filing and organization of program materials;
Conduct and assist with planning and implementing of program training and continuing education events;
Assist with development and support of school-based programs that align with nutrition and health education efforts, such as pantries;
Schedule, plan and coordinate meetings and activities to assist with evaluation measures;
Contribute to a quarterly newsletter for school administration, teachers, workshop leaders and volunteers;
Assist with recipe development and testing;
Additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred and two years experience in nutrition, culinary education, public health, health education or other related field required;
Experience working in or with schools, after-school programs or other youth programs a plus;
Excellent communication skills, customer service and training experience required;
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other team members and departments;
Proactive and well-organized with the ability to communicate with diverse constituencies required;
Proficiency in all MS office applications required;
Interest in and familiarity with food poverty and nutrition policy a plus;
Fluency in Spanish and/or other languages a plus.
