The Mount Sinai Sexual Assault and Violence Intervention (SAVI) program is currently recruiting new volunteers. Volunteers provide one-on-one counseling and patient advocacy to survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence in emergency rooms in Manhattan and Queens.  An interview is required to volunteer; once accepted to the program, volunteers must participate in intensive training sessions that begin in February.  Volunteers must be at least 21 years old and live in Manhattan or Queens.  To schedule an interview, please call 212-423-2140.
