1) The Pre-Business Advisor will be in the office this week on Thursday, 10/25. Please send an e-mail to

2) Bloomberg LP has invited interested Hunter Pre-Business students to a company tour followed by a presentation about job opportunities and a Bloomberg Terminal demonstration.

4) A current Leon Cooperman Scholar is interning this fall at Delivery.com and reports it to be a "fantastic place to work". The company has another position open. Details are below.



Delivery.com is seeking a Sales intern to join our team. This is a part time, paid internship located at Delivery.com’s New York office.



As a Sales Intern at Delivery.com, you will be an integral part of the sales team, and have the opportunity to acquire valuable sales and marketing experience at a growing, online company. The Sales Intern will report to the Director of Expansion Markets, but have the opportunity to work with other members of the sales department as well as other Delivery.com departments. Responsibilities include completing in-depth market research, collecting competitive data, and administratively supporting the sales team.



Requirements

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Ability to work on a variety of projects at once, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Organized, creative, self-motivated, and detail-oriented

Available to work approximately 20 hours/week

Gift Rep Manager, Special Markets

 

Job Summary

The Gift Rep Manager for RPS – CICO Books’ Special Sales business manages a wide variety of commissioned sales rep organizations and accounts (including, but not limited to specialty retailers, specialty chains, catalogers and specialty wholesalers) and is responsible for meeting assigned revenue goals.  The Gift Rep Manager serves as the primary contact for assigned sales rep groups and accounts.

 

Job Responsibilities

·       -Attain assigned revenue goals for the territory which includes territories covered by sales rep groups and assigned accounts.

·      - Assist in developing business plans to be reviewed on a quarterly basis both internally and externally with sales rep group principals and accounts.

·       -Work closely with accounts to develop account-specific merchandising, advertising and promotional strategies.

·      - Maintain accurate and up-to-date contact and code information for all sales representatives and their accounts.  Distribute materials including rep binder, catalogs, and product samples to rep base.

·       -Prepare and distribute monthly sales commission statements and progress to goal reports to commission sales representatives.

·      - Support Director of Special Sales in the research and development of new markets and sales opportunities.

·       -Maintain a sold understanding of RPS – CICO Books products, and the marketplace that they occupy.

 

Job Requirements

·       -1-3 years of experience in a sales role with responsibility for overseeing the performance of sales reps, in addition to selling to key accounts.

·      - Experience in the gourmet and gift channels a plus.

·      - Experience with manufacturer’s rep groups (as a road rep or sales manager) a plus.

·      - Ability to represent RPS – CICO Books enthusiastically in a variety of settings including trade shows, corporate meetings, one-on-one meetings with reps and retailers, and within the company.

·       -Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·       -Good presentation skills.

·      - Flexibility.

·       -Ability to travel up to 35% (domestic travel only).
