2015 Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center - Summer Clinical Oncology Research Experience (SCORE)

The Summer Clinical Oncology Research Experience (SCORE) is an eight-week program offered to women undergraduates and post-baccalaureate students at the City College of New York and Hunter College. The goal of the program is to encourage the participation of women in clinical cancer research.  FRESHMEN ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY!  

Each student in the program will:
•	Gain research experience mentored by MSK faculty and interacting with MSK staff
•	Attend institutional/departmental conferences as determined by the student and her mentor. 
•	Participate in weekly educational lecture sessions. 
•	Present their summer research to SCORE peers and mentors at a seminar-style session during the final week of the  
        program. 
•	Receive a $2500 stipend.

Program Dates: Monday, June 1 – Friday, July 24, 2015 (Monday – Friday, full-time) 

Location: Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, 1275 York ave (between 67th and 68th street) 

Eligibility: The program is open to undergraduate and post-baccalaureate women who are students at Hunter College.  Freshmen and under-represented minority students are encouraged to apply.  

Application Deadline: Monday, January 5, 2015, at 5:00pm (EST)

Those invited to apply will ALSO need to have a LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION submitted directly to Taryn Weinstein, Pre-Health Advisor, Hunter College, Room 1209 Hunter East. The preferred mode for submitting letters of recommendation is via email: [log in to unmask] Letters of recommendation should be signed and on official letterhead. 

All letters of recommendation must be received and applications must be completed by Monday, January 5, 2015 at 5pm. No late applications or letters of recommendation will be accepted.
