I just want to ask if you can forward this information to your listserv
for students who are interested in doing summer projects with Dr. Tomoaki
Kato.

Dr. Tomoaki Kato is the Surgical Director of the Division of Abdominal
Organ Transplantation at Columbia University College of Physicians &
Surgeons. His team performed the impressive auto-transplantation surgery
on seven-year-old Heather McNamara, which was reported on cnn.com in March
10, 2009.

This summer he is planning on doing project/s on raising awareness and
doing screenings of Hepatitis B epidemic in the Asian American population
in New York City. He is also planning on doing another project involving
raising awareness in Organ Donors in NYC since NYC's organ donation is one
of the lowest in the nation.

Any student who is interested in medicine or public health/policy should
contact him about these projects.
