Program Associate, Primary Care Residency Program

The Program Associate links the Primary Care Residency Program’s trainees, faculty and staff with ongoing and new curricula, evaluation techniques and dissemination strategies.  This position executes all organizational and logistical elements, scheduling, and communication between residents, faculty and program directors in order to maintain efficiency, quality and sustain short-term and long-term residency tasks and projects.  Applicants should be aware that they will be working with experts in and projects pertaining to the field of graduate medical education (GME); they will not handle patient care logistics or deal with patients’ personal health information. Duties will include, but not be limited to the following:  

1.	Works collaboratively with program directors and chief resident to develop schedules and materials for electives, seminars, workshops and evaluation sessions 
2.	Assists in event planning by organizing, coordinating and communicating about day-to-day and annual events
3.	Coordinates the recruitment process for incoming residents
4.	Actively participates in the planning for and development of grant applications, progress reports, marketing materials for programs and/or special events, surveys and evaluations
5.	Supports Primary Care Faculty’s scholarly activities
6.	Edits and/or contributes to preparation and submission of manuscripts, abstracts or presentations
7.	Processes and monitors residency-related expenses and maintains residency program office space
8.	Manages the procurement for logistics, such as business cards, keys, etc.
9.	Maintains updated and centralized residency program files

To qualify, you must possess a Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience with administrative responsibilities, preferably in education, healthcare or research. Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and writing/editing/proofreading skills are required.

Program Coordinator, Medical Education Innovations and Research

The Program for Medical Education Innovations and Research (PrMEIR) is dedicated to advancing medical education scholarship and instituting best practices for patient-centered, evidence-based medical education at NYU Langone Medical Center. Our mission is to support the development of research and practice that strengthen the links between a physician’s training and patient health and well-being. We are now seeking a Program Coordinator to join our team.
Working closely with the Program Director and Program Manager, you will support and guide the work of faculty engaged in innovative educational projects and the study and dissemination of those projects to advance the scholarship of education in academic medicine.  Duties will include, but not be limited to the following:  
•	Manage the logistics of Program components, including curriculum and assessment innovations, the research on medical education outcomes unit, and the intramural faculty grants program, and work flow of multiple project teams to accomplish program and project objectives.
•	Manage the Program’s key processes and timelines to meet established project objectives, assuring that milestones are on target; support the core Program leadership and staff by coordinating action-planning, follow-up, continuity, and project status reports in weekly meetings.
•	Participate in and contribute to the development and implementation of new Program components.
•	Serve as Program liaison and communication hub; create and update website content, marketing materials, newsletters articles, announcements.
•	Coordinate the planning for and development of grant applications, IRB applications, progress reports to sponsors.
•	Coordinate large scale events (e.g., conferences, workshops, receptions).

To qualify, you must possess a Bachelor’s degree and at 2 years’ experience with administrative responsibilities, preferably in education, healthcare or research. Experience with grant application processes, IRB and manuscript preparation is also required along with strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and writing/editing/proofreading skills. 


Project Coordinator, Primary Care Faculty Development Program in Medical Education 

The NYU Primary Care (PC) Faculty Development Program (FDP) in Medical Education serves as a national model in meeting the educational needs of clinical teaching faculty by training frontline PC general internists to be outstanding clinician-teachers of students and residents in inner city practices. The program uses innovative teaching and assessment strategies and is delivered through longitudinal seminars, community based workshops, mentoring programs and train-the-trainer programs to meet the educational needs of clinical teaching faculty. As project coordinator, you will work collaboratively with an expert educational and research team in program planning, curriculum implementation and evaluation for the Faculty Development Program. 

Responsibilities 
•	Serves as the program liaison and communication hub for the HRSA-funded Faculty Development program and the Merrin Masters Scholars program.
•	Coordinate and keep record of program planning meetings.
•	Create program work plans and collaborate with program leaders on meeting milestones
•	Prepare IRB applications, reapplications, interim changes, and grant progress reports. 
•	Prepare invoices for sign-off and process and  track OTPS expenditures 
•	Lead the planning of major annual events, including quarterly advisory committee meetings and a series of high-profile medical education conferences and workshops 
•	Manage and analyze data, including developing surveys, entering data, performing data analysis. 
•	Contribute to the scholarly dissemination, including conducting literature reviews. 
•	Manage the logistics of multiple program evaluation components 
•	Manage the Advanced Learning Exchange (ALEX) web site for the programs. 


To qualify, you must possess a Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years’ experience with project management and research responsibilities, preferably in education or healthcare. Experience with SPSS (or other statistical software), IRB and manuscript preparation is also required along with strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and writing/editing/proofreading skills.
