Doctor Speaker Series: Dr. Philipp Leucht, MD/PhD
 
Description: Dr. Philipp Leucht is an MD/PhD who specializes in orthopedic trauma surgery at Bellevue and directs a lab at NYU Langone Medical Center. He received his medical degree at Ruhr-University in Bochum, Germany and did his residency at Johann-Wolfgang-Goeth University in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Dr. Leucht then did his postdoctoral research fellowship at Stanford University. In his lab at NYU, he and his team work on invitro fracture healing models, bone histomorphometry, genetically modified mouse models, in situ hybridization, microCT analysis, and routine cell and molecular biology techniques aimed towards understanding molecular and cellular mechanisms in skeletal development and fracture repair. Dr. Leucht will be discussing his path towards an MD/PhD and what his job consists of for him and his team.
