The RAISE-W program seeks to address training, productivity, and skills acquisition in all students interested in the empowerment and retention of women in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.

Program participants engage in 15-20 hours weekly hands-on research training in laboratory experiments with a faculty mentor. Students also interact with successful scientists during workshop sessions and receive private one-on-one executive coaching. There will be a one-day program orientation during the month of August. Students will have 8 sessions with their executive coach, and must attend semi-annual group meetings (one fall, the other Spring). The coaching sessions are scheduled based on individual student schedules and in consultation with coaches.

This is a two year commitment.

Eligibility:
All students who are engaged in a research lab are eligible to apply. Any students assigned to or currently working in a STEM-related lab with a 1-year commitment to that lab. RAISE-W encourages women and students from groups underrepresented in the sciences to apply.

How to Apply:
Apply here: http://www.hunter.cuny.edu/scimon/programs/apply
