Looking for dedicated, hard-working pre-medical students looking to gain experience in the field of Healthcare IT. SynaMed (http://www.synamed.com/) is an innovative Electronic Health Record Software company based in New York City. This is a perfect opportunity for pre medical students in their gap year to build their application with a unique experience in the healthcare IT industry. As an EMR design specialist and business analyst, you will learn firsthand what physicians value and require in clinical documentation. In addition you will have the opportunity to work closely alongside the CEO, a successful cardiologist in NYC. Many of pre-medical students have gained satisfying and practical experiences, and established a unique perspective of the role of technology in the field of medicine. You will have projects optimizing the patient software for the many practices. The role will also provide valuable knowledge through the perspective of a cardiology practice.
The job duties will include, but are not limited to:
•	Developing ideas for new features and relaying information to code developers 
•	Designing functions in the software which medical providers will use for their practice 
•	Providing Level 1 Customer Support – working with and assisting physicians and practices across the United States 
•	Testing clinical software for quality assurance 
•	Working on special projects regarding PPACA compliance and other projects involving this rapidly growing industry!
Our offices are located in New York City, with locations in Manhattan and Queens.
Qualifications:
•	Pre-medical student (minimum junior level), or recent graduate 
•	Team oriented (you will work in an interdisciplinary team of designers, developers, physicians, billing experts, administrative staff, etc) 
•	Meticulous and Organized 
•	Able to multi-task 
•	No coding knowledge required
