This is a great opportunity for students to see the "MD" side of dentistry.
There will be six MD's there to talk about oral surgery through their eyes
as well as dentists who will provide their prospective. Students applying
now should definitely attend. LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED!! Also, students
looking for mentors, even if you are interested in medical school, not
dental school, should try to become involved! Mentors in dental school
provide the same service as MD's--they let you see the interactions between
patients and their doctors (dentists are doctors!) Please let me know if you
plan to attend as well as registering below so I have can put this
information in your file for future use. Thanks! Mrs. Wood-Hill

Below you will find the attachments including the flyer for the OS
symposium, and the Mentor Program. Please print them in color if
possible and post it so all can see. Also if you can forward this
email to the students so they can know of the great opportunities
out there (spread the word), and ....

register today at http://dental.columbia.edu/snda/

Free lunch will be provided.

I look for a strong showing from Hunter College, and hope to see you
there also!

Columbia University College of Dental Medicine presents its 2nd
Annual Symposium on Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery: Where Medicine
meets Dentistry. Last year was a tremendous success with over 150
student participants from colleges across the Tri-state area and we
are anticipating 250 students for this year's symposium. Come meet
and listen to the deans of admissions as they discuss the key
criteria to be a competitive candidate as well as learn how to get
your Education FREE.
Please join renowned Oral Surgeons from Columbia University
College of Dental Medicine and Harlem Hospital to learn about the
exciting opportunities in this profession, including ABC news'
recent report that cites this as the number one paying profession
in the United States.

IMPORTANT: This event is not limited to students interested in
Dentistry. It is also geared for Pre-"MEDICAL" majors, and all
other students that fall under the umbrella of pre-health such as
nursing, physical therapy, etc.

Attached is a PDF file of the flyer which can be printed and
circulated

Please forward this e-mail to the students in your organization and
department.

Please register at http://dental.columbia.edu/snda/
