It is my pleasure to invite you to the 2014 SNDA Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Symposium, a special event held each year at the Columbia University Medical Center. Organized by the Student National Dental Association at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, the symposium's purpose is to highlight a surgical specialty, oral and maxillofacial surgery (OMFS).

The symposium will consist of case presentations by practitioners in the OMS field, with expertise spanning biomedical research, hospital-based practice, and facial prosthetics. In the past, specific subjects have included trauma care, orthognathic surgery, head and neck cancer, facial reconstruction, and plastic surgery. Following the presentation, there will have a chance to ask questions to a panel of current CDM doctoral students and post-doctoral OMS residents. Lastly, Columbia College of Dental Medicine Admissions and Financial Aid representatives will present and answer questions about applying to and financing a dental education.

The event will take place on Saturday May 3, 2014 at 701 West 168th Street, New York, NY 10032 in the Hammer Health Sciences Center, room 401. The program will last from 08:30am until 3:30pm. Dress is business-casual, and lunch will be sponsored.
