The Time Out Video Evaluation and Monitoring Study at Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn is seeking research assistants. This project is an innovative patient safety-based project that is a great opportunity for pre-meds, who want to understand how to conduct clinical research in a hospital. This is a quality improvement project looking at the teamwork of medical staff, to improve safety and ultimately to change the culture of how medicine is practiced at the hospital.

Research assistants will view and evaluate video and written data of Time Outs collected by medical students and residents in the operating room, intensive care, emergency room and labor and delivery. Your role can progress to observations and shadowing opportunities. This is unpaid, and the work can initially done from home. Contact Minda Aguhob at [log in to unmask] if interested.
