I agree with Jillian and William. With the larger picture in mind it's rather thoughtless of the school to close the 68th Street THH doors. They receive a ton of traffic and speaking as someone whose office is most accessible through there it's going to be a real pain in the ass. It simply wouldn't be that difficult for them to make some adjustments to ease up on traffic. I am sure if we wrote a letter and got USG to write one along with us that we could see some action on the matter.

Best,
Jennifer

Jillian pointed out. And I'd even settle for that entrance being open only
until the end of the semester.

As for refusing to keep the North entrance open late nights, I think it
might be useful to work with the departments affected. All the natural
science/math departments, as well as performing and visual arts, have
offices in North. A joint letter from these departments and a significant
number of clubs in THH might be effective in bringing pressure on the
Administration. Student Caucus and FDA may even issue a joint resolution
via the Senate.

The issue doesn't just affect smokers, it affects everyone who works late
in THH and North. If Hunter is serious about fostering a campus community,
it should consider reopening the North entrance late nights. A true campus
community doesn't stop at 10pm.
