The CUNY Institute for Sustainable Cities presents the

2007 Art for Sustainability Contest

WHO: All CUNY students

WHAT: CUNY art contest with $850 in cash prizes featuring art addressing
issues of environmental sustainability in New York and other cities
currently working to enhance ecological health, environmental
conditions, economic vitality and social, racial, and environmental
justice and equity.

WHERE: Hunter College, in the style of a gallery opening

WHEN: May 14, 2007 (entries due May 7, 2007)

WHY: Defining and putting in place solutions that promote sustainable
cities will be one of the greatest challenges of the 21st century. With
this contest we want to promote art that conveys the tensions,
conflicts, and progress that is part of this transformation.
