Hunter student Tracy Neiman is one of three winners of the first Murray Kempton Awards for Journalism, a CUNY-wide competition. Her story for the Envoy, “Why Ly Ky Tran is Relaying for Life,” was honored as the year's best feature story. The announcement and the story are here:

Named for the Pulitzer-Prize-winning columnist, the awards will be presented at CUNY’s Journalism, Broadcast and New Media Conference and Career Fair on Oct. 3, 2008.
