Dear Colleagues, please find below the description for a current position for RA and Office administrator with Rennert International in New York City.
Only local candidates please. The position start date is June 25, 2012.

Summer RA/Office Administrator
RA duties include:
Provide on-site support for international students including: 
check-in, check-out,
helping with immediate issues/concerns/problems Acting as intermediary between students and facility staff, as well as Rennert staff Serve as emergency contact for students residing in residence Support residence management when possible, while trying to advocate for students to have best possible experience Enforce general rules and regulations as well as ensure proper student kitchen and bathroom use

Organize and give arrival orientation for all new student arrivals on Sunday evenings including:
Rules and Regulations - collect rules agreements for all new arrivals Emergency contact information First day information (Monday orientation information, how to get there, what they need, etc)

Office duties include:

Attending and helping with Monday morning orientation Filing of student paperwork Collaborate with and assist Student Services and Housing staff 

RA must be available to work on weekends, be present for designated times in the mornings and evenings and provide 20 hours of paid office help during the week. 
Weekly schedule is as follows:
Sunday: maintain on-site presence from 3pm-11pm, remain available by phone all other times, 8pm: conduct new arrival orientation
Monday: 8:30am Help escort students to orientation site, participate and help with Monday orientation until 2pm
Tuesday-Friday: 3.5 hours/week of office interning
Saturday: 8am-12pm remain onsite to facilitate check-out process, available by phone all other times Daily hours on site (subject to change): 8:45-10am, 6-7pm, remain available by phone all other times

From June 24 - Sept 29
Compensation includes free housing and half-board (breakfast/lunch), as well as $15 hourly wage for office hours and a monthly unlimited metro card. RA's are also eligible to participate in free evening English courses or foreign language courses as available.
