The Farm Bill isn't just about farming. It's our most important piece of agricultural legislation, covering issues of conservation, nutrition, and food security and has implications for everyone in the U.S.

Join us to learn more about domestic and international farmers, federal nutrition programs, local, organic, and sustainable food, the environment, food systems, and more.

 

What?

A full-day, Northeast Regional educational forum and networking event on the 2007 Farm Bill.  Breakfast and lunch will be served and will include fair trade coffee and tea.

 

When?

Thurs, Jan 25th from 8 AM to 5 PM

 

Where?

Hunter College’s Brookdale Health Science Center, 425 E. 25th St, between First Ave and FDR Drive (just east of First Ave).

 

Who?

The Hunger & Environmental Nutrition Special Interest Group of the Greater New York Dietetic Association (GNYHEN) in conjunction with Hunter College, Oxfam America, , Just Food, and the New York City Nutrition Education Network (NYCNEN).

 

How?

1. Complete and detach the registration form below.  2. Write a check or money order ($35 for general registration; $25 for students; Hunter College students are free; $40 for late registration) payable to the “Greater New York Dietetic Association” (GNYDA).  3. Send the complete form and your payment to: FARM BILL WORKSHOP, c/o Kate Sheehan, PO Box 973, Old Chelsea Station, New York, NY 10113.

 

Policies

Registration includes breakfast and lunch. Registration must be postmarked no later than Jan 22, 2007. Students are $25, Hunter College students are free, all students must register and include photocopy of current ID. After January 22, fee is $40 for all. Registration is complete when we receive your check. There is no registration the day of the event. Cancellations received in writing by Jan 19th will be honored, less a $10 processing fee.
