(posted 4/19, 20:20) CUNY delays implementation of secure access to SIMS CUNY has postponed the implementation of secure access to the mainframe until Thursday, April 28 at 8:00 am. Until then the old versions of the tn3270 emulators and FTP will continue to work. . . (posted 4/19, 20:20) Home access to student records Faculty and staff may still have access to SIMS from home. As of Thursday April 28, this access will be limited to the use of secure terminal emulation and secure FTP using SSL only. The new CUNY Hummingbird terminal emulation client will available for all Hunter owned systems. ICIT is working to recommend secure tn3270 and FTP clients that faculty and staff will be able to use on privately owned machines. . . (posted 4/17, 20:15) Changes to student records CUNY security policy forbids the changing of student personal data in student records from off-campus sites. Student personal data does not include the setting of permissions for students to enroll in courses or the use of the webgrade program. These items may be changed from home.
