faculty and has openings for
paid positions in her lab. Dr Tricia Striano is researching social cognition in
infants between birth and 12 months, trying to understand how they detect and
process emotions especially those that play a role in interpersonal
interactions. Part of her research involves examining the neural systems that
are involved in processing affective states, including brain systems that might
be associated with atypical patterns of development such as autism.

The position is for a technical/media assistant. Special consideration will be
given to
The position would be open from July to October with the possibility of a
longer term. The individual would need to be able to do the following
• Develop and implement a system to
organize video equipment and video inventory
• Program stimuli on a MAC
An ideal candidate may be interested in developing a Macintosh based Video-Data
database and be able to program, code, and set up computers. May also oversee
the digitizing of more than 1,000 hours of video for a database. Must b e able
to use and train others in using Final Cut Pro and adobe. Must be proficient in
website design and maintenance. Must be able to work independently and with
others. Must be motivated and have the ability to complete assigned tasks.
