T>he 16th
annual Washington Health Policy Institute
in conjunction with the Center for Health Policy Research and Ethics at George
Mason University will take place June 3-6, 2008 outside Washington, DC.
The Washington Health Policy Institute explores all facets of the health
policymaking process and provides participants with the knowledge needed to
make a difference in the U.S. health care system.
The policymaking process
is illuminated by examining both current national and state challenges.
By learning about policymaking through selected program and policy issues,
participants will be able to transfer this knowledge to any health policy
problem or circumstance. Faculty include speakers from Federal and State Health
Agencies, Congress and State Legislatures, Media Experts, and Nationally
Prominent Leaders in Health Policy, Nursing and Quality of Care Issues.
