Thanks to one of our persistent students the answer to your question is below.  I just found out that Chemistry apparently generated a list for students who are shut out of orgo lecture.  If you are on that list they will be putting people in the class as space becomes available.  If you are not on that list (I do not know how or when the list was generated) then I think you should continue to surf the system.  Sorry for all the confusion---I had no idea a list was even possible!

Spaces listed on the computer are not always "real".  There is a lag between students registering for a class and when it shows up on the system so oftentimes the course is full although it looks open.  The only way to know for sure is to see someone in the chemistry dept.  And they will NOT help students over the phone.  Also, most chemistry courses now are being held for new incoming freshmen and transfer students.  Try and see if you can get in tomorrow or Thursday when they will have finished registering this cohort.  A new orgo lab has been added for the spring as well.

I am a second-degree student at Hunter.  I took Chem102 in the fall.  I would like to take Chem104LC and Chem106LB this spring, and the registrar's website indicates that there is space available in the classes, but when I attempt to register, it is telling me that registration is closed.  It is my second semester here at Hunter as a post-baccalaureate student and I am still a bit unfamiliar with the way that the website works.  Do you know why this would occur, or how I get into the class?  I e-mailed the professor of Chem104LC (Professor Goss), but I was unable to find contact information for Professor Pejoux, who teaches the lab.
