The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans
Is Looking for You! – Meeting On Campus with Warren Ilchman, Director
Thursday, May 1, 2008    4:00 -5:00 pm
Room 1315 East

Do you plan on being enrolled in a graduate or professional program in Fall 2009?

A New American is an individual who is a resident alien, or has been naturalized as a U.S. citizen, or is the child of two parents who are both naturalized citizens.
Candidates will be pursing graduate degrees in any professional field or scholarly discipline in the arts, humanities, social sciences, and sciences.  The Paul and Daisy Fellowship is highly competitive and  awards 30 two-year fellowships of up to $36,000 per year to accomplished new Americans to achieve leadership in their chosen fields.  Hunter College had a finalist this year and has had a Soros Fellow!  Van Tran is a 2004 Fellow and is presently studying at Harvard University.
Dr. Warren Ilchman, director of the program, will be at Hunter to talk about the Soros Fellowship, answer your questions and discuss other nationally competitive fellowship programs.
