New York Medical College: Pre-Medical Mentoring Program

MISSION STATEMENT

New York Medical College’s Student-Run Pre-Medical Mentoring Program is designed to support pre-medical students in local undergraduate institutions with education and guidance about applying to medical school. A first or second year medical student is paired with an undergraduate student to create a mentoring partnership. Multiple educational activities will be provided to help prepare the pre-medical student to apply to medical school and familiarize them with the life of a medical student. Activities include clinical presentations by physicians and staff, workshops concerning the application process, interviewing skills, clinical skills and helpful advice from current medical students on personal statements and the MCAT.
