Downstate Medical School in Brooklyn has a summer research program for disadvantaged and minority students.  They offer a stipend of $3000.00 for eight weeks (month of June and July).  Housing is not available and the program will run from 9-5 Monday-Friday.  If you are interested the application and program details are on their website:
