FYI -- I do not have any additional information about this event! _____ From: Mrs. Kendria English [mailto:[log in to unmask]] Sent: Wednesday, September 16, 2009 9:44 AM To: [log in to unmask]; [log in to unmask] Subject: NLI registration Dear Student/Academic Advisor: The Student National Medical Association (SNMA) will be holding a "National Leadership Institute (NLI)," in Boston, September 25-27, 2009, during which both medical students and undergraduates will be provided the opportunity to look in-depth at opportunities and career paths in the field of medicine. We ask you to notify your students about the NLI, which will be a unique opportunity for them to explore paths for advancement in their continuing education toward a medical or scientific career. Premedical students especially will have the opportunity to talk to medical school administrators and current medical students, and they will learn the 'real deal' about applying for medical school admission. Please take a moment to read the invitation posted by SNMA President, Travelle Franklin-Ford, on the SNMA website, <http://www.snma.org/downloads/September2008-NLI-Registration.pdf> www.snma.org/downloads/September2008-NLI-Registration.pdf, and to view the program schedule. We feel you will agree that this is a program well-worth spending a weekend to attend. This NLI is graciously hosted by Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, including presentations by faculty and physicians within the hospital network, including Harvard Medical School. This NLI program is FREE! As needed, SNMA membership may be paid on-site, in Boston. Have students download the registration form from the website and either e-mail or fax it to us NOW! This is a great opportunity to spend the weekend at one of the nation's leading and prestigious medical teaching institutions. Thank you for helping us to share this opportunity to nurture future leaders in medicine. Annette McLane Assoc.
