Attached please find information about the Diversity
Student Summer Research Opportunity Program (DSSROP) sponsored by the Albert
Einstein School of Medicine of Yeshiva University. A DSSROP fellowship in
the amount of $3,000 will be awarded to students selected to participate in the
program. Preference will be given to students in their junior year of
college who intend to apply to medical school or a doctoral program in
biomedical science. Students from groups that are severely
underrepresented in medicine and biomedical science are strongly encouraged to
apply including African Americans, Latinos/Hispanics and Native Americans who
are interested in research.
Please note that the application
deadline is March 1, 2010.
Pparticipating
in structured pipeline programs such as the DSSROP will be viewed favorably by
medical school and graduate school admissions committees.
