March is Pre-Health Month at Hunter College!

Come join us in learning about admissions, testing, personal statements, and so much more about the health professions!

There will be speakers coming to campus from Medical Schools, Podiatry Schools, and test preparation agencies to provide information for students. 

Below is a list of the events for March. Attached is a calendar that also lists all of the events.
And please stay tuned, we will be having more visitors in April and May to speak about Veterinary medicine, Osteopathic medicine, and International Medical Schools. 


Sunday, March 6th– Kaplan will be hosting a practice MCAT and GRE with review.

Wednesday, March 9th– A representative from New York College of Podiatric Medicine (NYCPM) will be discussing admissions to podiatry school.  Location: Hunter North 510. Time: 1-2pm.
 
Wednesday, March 16th– Pre-Health Professions Workshop Series Presents: “Will This Affect my Application?” a workshop about Credit/No Credit, Withdrawals and how they affect your applications to professional schools. Location: Hunter North 1403 Time: 1-2pm.
 
Wednesday, March 23rd– Workshop hosted by Kaplan: Interviewing Skills for Health Professions School. Co-Sponsored by the Pre-Health Professions Office. Location: Hunter North 1403. Time: 1-3pm.
 
Friday, March 25th–  Workshop hosted by Kaplan: Writing the Personal Statement for Health Professions programs. Co-Sponsored by the Pre-Health Professions Office. Location: Hunter North 1403. Time: 5-7pm
 
Monday, March 28th- Pre-Health Professions Workshop Series Presents: “Will This Affect my Application?” a workshop about Credit/No Credit, Withdrawals and how they affect your applications to professional schools. Location: Hunter East 819. Time: 10:30-11:30am.
 
Wednesday, March 30th– New York Medical School Admissions and Financial Aid Panel. Representatives from Stony Brook School of Medicine, Weill-Cornell Medical College, and Mt. Sinai School of Medicine will discuss the admissions and financial aid processes for three of the top New York medical schools. Sponsored by the Pre-Health Professions Office. Location: Hunter West 615 Time: 1-2:30pm
