Pre-Health Action! |
January 30, 2012 |
The Spring Semester is upon us; the Pre-Health Advising Office would like to welcome our new students and welcome back our continuing students with some great information about what is to come in the Spring Semester for those interested in Pre-Health here at Hunter. |

|
What’s New in the Pre-Health Advising Office? |
|
We have updated (and will continue to update) some sections of our website. You will notice that there are some new links on the navigation menu: Advising, The Post-Baccalaureate Certificate Program, Special Program Spring/Summer 2012 and Committee Letters.
Advising: This link provides detailed information about our student advising availability and procedures. You will notice that Phone Advising has been added to our list which is a great option for those who have trouble getting to campus for scheduled in-person appointments. Days and hours of advising have changed; please review this section before scheduling an appointment or coming during walk-in hours. Note: If you decide to come during the scheduled walk-in hours, you do not need to notify us via phone or e-mail. Just come to the 8th floor of the East Building, sign-up and have a seat! Remember, always check the website before coming for walk-in hours to make sure they have not been cancelled or re-scheduled.
The Post-Baccalaureate Certificate Program: This section of our website has been updated for both the current and prospective post-baccalaureate. If you are a current Post-Baccalaureate Certificate Program student please take note of the sections: Receiving Your Certificate, 56 Hour Service Requirement and Academic Standing.
Committee Letters: For those of you who don’t already know, some changes have been made to the committee letter process to make it more efficient and effective. If you are planning on receiving a committee letter for the 2012-2013 cycle, please THOROUGHLY review this section of the website, including reading every word of the instructions (a pdf file that can be found on the page). It is important to us that students educate themselves about the process before submitting the Committee Letter application or e-mailing us with questions.
More changes are to come. As always, check our website frequently for updates, changes and special events!
Students new to Hunter and New to the Pre-Health Advising Office: Please start educating yourself by reviewing the information about the Pre-Health File on our website.
Happy Spring Semester!
