Hello all and happy belated New Year!
Well, we're moving on fast through 2012, and The Forum Project is excited
for a bunch of new changes ahead. We will be dedicating much more energy
and time to increase our program offerings, creating more opportunities
for you to gain the tools and skills necessary to combat oppression
through Theatre of the Oppressed and critical pedagogy. We are also
building some new, exciting partnerships that will engage more leaders,
organizers and community members in addressing issues of oppression and
taking action towards liberation. Below you'll see a list of some of the
great workshops already scheduled for 2012, and we're happy to announce
that more will be on the way. Remember to register early, and don’t
forget to forward this email on to your friends and colleagues!
We look forward to continue working with you in 2012.
All the best,
Leigh, Alex and Nayantara

Welcome Nayantara Sen, TFP Intern
We're so happy to introduce to you The Forum Project's Intern Nayantara
Sen. Nayantara comes to The Forum Project with a wealth of facilitation
and anti-oppression experience. She is a first generation immigrant, a
creative writer, and works actively to fight oppression, especially as it
relates to women of color and diasporic and migrant communities. We're
looking forward to all the experience Nayantara brings and to her future
contributions to The Forum Project.
Read Nayantara's full bio here.
I’m pretty introverted and often shy. By celebrating freedom of
expression, little by little I learn to feel less self conscious... As I
learn to feel more comfortable with myself, I learn to be more
courageous, and I believe my own words, it will have an impact on the way
and amount of strength I have to fight the oppression I face. It will
make me a more efficient activist if I’m not afraid to be myself.
