This position is accountable for direct oversight of the School Based Health Center Network Program, a program offering onsite medical, social work, health education, dental and youth development programming to various schools in NYC.  

 

The School Based Program Director positively supports MHHC’s core values, vision and mission to ensure that the organization’s goals and objectives are met. 

 

This position must have knowledge of NYCDOE systems, programs and have the ability to navigate the varying and complex rules and regulations governing SBHC.  It is critical that the person in this position have strong communication skills, verbal and written, as it requires documentation in terms of reports and proposal writing.  This position will be required to oversee operations at the ever-growing SBHC network and requires hands on practice in ensuring that everything that is needed for daily operations is available, (supplies, staffing, and equipment).  Supervisory experience is a must as this position will have direct supervision of staff  and projects.   This position will be engaged in the Performance Improvement Committee for SBHC and will be required to identify and in some cases lead collaborative and non-invasive research (includes organizing and arranging and evaluating processes &  practices). This position is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of the SBHC Network Program, including all grant related tasks, reporting, budgeting, staff supervision and monitoring, data collection and reporting, compliance with program goals and objectives and identification and pursuit of funding for sustainability. The SBHC Network Programs are funded by a variety of grants, NYSDOH, NYCDOH, and other funders and requires very strict program fidelity, reporting and evaluation. This position will be responsible for direct supervision of the Practice Management Coordinator and oversee the work of the School Health Assistants.
