Physicians for Reproductive Choice and Health (PRCH) is a physician-led,
national, not-for-profit organization that exists to ensure that all people
have the knowledge, access to quality services, and freedom to make their
own reproductive health decisions.

*Job Description:*

PRCH seeks a graduate student in public health or related field to work in
the Education, Research, and Training Division. The internship will be
part-time (15-20 hours/week), will take place during the Summer of 2012 and
may be extended to Fall 2012. Start and end dates and hours are negotiable.

The Intern will work with the Director of Education, Research, and Training
and other division staff primarily on projects and activities related to
PRCH’s Adolescent Reproductive and Sexual Health Education Project
(ARSHEP).

PRCH’s Adolescent Reproductive and Sexual Health Education Project (ARSHEP)
trains a select group of physicians as faculty to give free educational
sessions to other providers about the best practices for adolescent
reproductive health care. With this information, doctors nationwide can
focus their attention on what’s most important—helping their young patients
make informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive health. ARSHEP
physicians have also collaborated to create, update and disseminate a
CD-ROM curriculum of educational modules on a variety of reproductive and
sexual health topics as well as an e-learning course for Pediatric
Residents.

The intern will primarily focus on collaborating with subject experts to
create a new module to be added to the ARSHEP curriculum. This will
include research and writing, as well as correspondence with a variety of
adolescent health experts. Additionally, the intern will participate in the
ongoing reviewing, updating, and enhancing of content as well as marketing
for PRCH E-Learning Courses in advance of in the 2012-2013 academic year.
Finally, the intern will support internal efforts to evaluate PRCH programs
and resources.

*Major Responsibilities: *

   - Organize and facilitate calls and meetings with adolescent health
experts to form a working group and identify topics that would be most
valuable additions to the current ARSHEP Curriculum
   - Collaborate with the working group to create a content outline and
timeline for the creation and launch of the new module
   - Utilize medical literature as well as data sets from the CDC and other
public health organizations to create content for the new module
   - Arrange, attend, and evaluate pilot sessions of the new module with
   medical residents
   - Review e-learning course content and make recommendations on necessary
updates to statistics, clinical recommendations and resources
   - Collaborate with PRCH staff and consultants to implement necessary
changes in the course content and format
   - Support an outreach campaign to enroll new residency programs in the
course for the 2012-2013 academic year
   - Enter, clean, and analyze evaluation data to aid in improving future
   PRCH programs and resources

Other duties may be assigned throughout the internship depending on
departmental needs and priorities.

*Qualifications: *

   - BA/BS Degree and currently enrolled or recently completed an MPH or
   similar graduate degree program
   - Strong commitment to reproductive rights expected
   - Knowledge of reproductive and sexual health as it relates to
   adolescents
   - Excellent organizational and communication skills
   - Experience with program evaluation and analysis
   - Skilled in use of computer systems, including Microsoft Office and
