Description:

The Drexel University School of Public Health invites applications for a Programmer/Data Analyst in the Department of

Epidemiology and Biostatistics. The position requires a detail‐oriented, organized, and creative individual who will

conduct data management, statistical analysis, literature review, report writing to support grant‐funded initiatives

related to healthy food environments and nutrition and chronic disease. A major aim of this work will be to examine

associations between neighborhood food prices and health outcomes over time.

Minimum qualifications include:

‐ advanced data compilation and data management skills

‐ advanced statistical knowledge that includes longitudinal analyses

‐ 3+ years programming in SAS, advanced programming in SAS

‐ Master’s Degree in Biostatistics or Public Health or other appropriate specialty area

‐ Project/time management skills are expected

‐ Strong written and oral English communication

‐ Organized and attentive to detail

‐ 2‐3 professional job references

Preferred

‐ Experience with geographic information systems and/or census data

‐ Prior research in nutrition and/or built environments

‐ Been involved with peer review publications, supporting federal grant applications

‐ Human subjects research certification

Length of employment

1 year: June 2012 through May 2013.

Salary range:

$45,000‐$55,000 annual salary (commensurate with experience).
