>The Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
>Working in partnership with and reporting to the 
>Board of Directors (Board), the Chief Executive 
>Officer (CEO) provides visionary leadership for 
>the organization and demonstrates passion for 
>the mission of Planned Parenthood Southeast. The 
>CEO is responsible and accountable for planning 
>and executing strategy; the management and 
>development of the internal staff and volunteer 
>team; programmatic operations; 
>finance;fundraising; and advocacy. The CEO will 
>be the chief spokesperson for PPSE.
>Key Responsibilities
>Operations Management
>The CEO is responsible for maintaining a united, 
>efficient and effective organizational 
>infrastructure for the organization. This will 
>allow for consistent delivery of quality programs and services.
>The CEO is accountable for the financial 
>strength and integrity of and prudent management 
>of PPSE’s resources. The CEO is charged with 
>effectively managing the staff; this includes 
>attracting, retaining, training and evaluating a 
>strong staff team to support the operations of 
>the organization, as well as its future growth and expansion.
>The CEO is responsible and ultimately 
>accountable for the timely and effective 
>delivery of the organization’s healthcare and 
>healthcare related programs and services. The 
>CEO is responsible for leading the development 
>and administration of new programs and services 
>as well as identifying and marketing services to 
>new consumers of its programs and services.
>Prior experience delivering or administering 
>such programs, or other leadership experience 
>within the field of healthcare or the public 
>health community is strongly desired. The CEO 
>will need to evaluate health care industry 
>trends and regulations to capitalize on new 
>opportunities for new program delivery.
>The CEO will work with senior staff leadership 
>to ensure the organization remains in compliance 
>with PPFA standards of affiliation.
>Fundraising
>In partnership with the Board and senior staff, 
>the CEO champions all fundraising efforts of 
>PPSE by communicating the vision of the 
>organization. This includes identifying 
>opportunities with major individual donors, 
>corporate sponsors and foundations, establishing 
>strategies for securing funding, responding to 
>proposals, conducting solicitations, and 
>overseeing the administration of donor records.
>The CEO is responsible for stewarding donors to 
>ensure a consistent and long-term stream of 
>financial resources. The ability to build and 
>maintain long-term relationships is a key asset of theCEO.
>Advocacy
>The CEO serves as the “face” of PPSE, and 
>represents the organization with all 
>stakeholders including private, 
>public/governmental and not for profit funding 
>institutions, partners, the general public, and 
>media. Effective messaging by the CEO to 
>describe, defend and promote the services in 
>ways that can be easily embraced by the Board, 
>staff, media, donors, and elected officials will 
>ultimately enhance PPSE’s positioning as it 
>relates to regulatory and legislative changes. 
>This will also enhance PPSE’s capacity for 
>fundraising and securing of new and repeat funds.
>The CEO will serve as the chief ambassador for 
>PPSE and ensure PPSE consistently maintains a 
>strong positive image. With an ability to build 
>trust and garner respect, this leader will 
>engage with a broad community of diverse voices 
>and opinions and work with staff and board 
>leadership to develop/nurture strategic 
>relationships throughout the three-state region.
>Board Partnership
>The CEO works with the Board’s leadership to 
>maintain a diverse Board and is charged with 
>ensuring outcomes that are inclusive of all 
>points of view. The CEO works collaboratively 
>with the Board to identify needs, opportunities 
>and challenges that foster the achievement of 
>near-term and long-range goals, and to 
>effectively involve board members in the work of the organization.
>The CEO will provide the Board with timely 
>agendas and accurate communication to ensure the 
>flow of appropriateinformation regarding 
>opportunities and challenges of the organization.
