Dear Potential Volunteer: Right now, the American Diabetes Association is preparing for its largest Latino event of the year - Feria de Salud, scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 18, 2012. Every year in New York City the ADA holds this free annual health event for Latinos at St. Mary's Park; the average attendance is 4,000 people. Through fun and informative workshops and activities, community members learn more about diabetes, the importance of making healthy food choices and being physically active on a regular basis. You will be assigned a 4 hour shift between the hours of 9am and 7pm on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at St. Mary's Park (St. Ann's Avenue and East 146th St, Bronx, NY).
