Project Summary
The trainee shall research responses to legislative requests, draft
press releases, and compile data and other information evaluating
programs within the Bureau of Health Professions. The trainee shall
also prepare an analysis of diversity response statements in FY 2011
applications for the Primary Care Training and Enhancement program, and
shall develop a proposed approach for analyzing this information for FY
2012 applications and addressing the requirement in FY 2013 funding
opportunity announcements.
Program Dates
July 9 - August 31 (8weeks)
40hrs/wk
Award Package
Stipend: $250/wk
Airfare Reimbursement: $500 max
Local Travel: $25/wk
Housing: Sponsored (trainee will share a 2bdr apartment near the office
with three other trainees)
HSHPS will not grant housing allowances
Eligibility
Applicant must be Hispanic
Current MPH student of recent graduate (less than 3years)
Demonstrate an interest in Hispanic and minority health issues
Must be available for the full duration of program
