Walden University seeks a Program Director who is dynamic and forward thinking about the future of Public Health. The Program Director for the Masters of Public Health Program is a full-time administrator who reports to the Associate Dean, School of Health
Sciences, within the College of Health Sciences. The Program Director supervises the MPH Academic Program Coordinator and the program's full and part-time faculty. The Program Director works closely with other Program Directors, Academic Advising, and administrative
staff. The person filling the position should be flexible, possess creative problem solving skills and demonstrate leadership and a strong commitment to their profession.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The person in this position is responsible for administrative duties, which include but are not limited to:

Overseeing, evaluating and maintaining the quality and integrity of the MPH program curricula
·
Participating in ongoing development, assessment and accreditation activities
·
Coordinating faculty recruitment, orientation, development, mentoring and evaluation
·
Engaging in student retention and success initiatives
·
Supervising the MPH Academic Program Coordinator and full and part-time faculty assigned to the program
·
Assigning faculty teaching responsibilities
·
Mediating and resolving faculty and student issues and maintaining a sense of community
·
Serving on school and university committees.<li>Participating in academic residencies
·
May include responsibility for teaching and supervising student research on a limited basis.
