Job Description

Reports to the Director of the LGBTQ & Diversity Resource Center. Position provides, but is not limited to, program coordination and administrative support to the Director of the LGBTQ & Diversity Resource Center. Examples of the activities will include, but are not limited to, oversight of Federal Work-study students, budget maintenance and invoice processing, data tracking for program attendance and space utilization, appointment scheduling and note-taking, reservation of event rooms/catering/transportation/technology for events, preparation of contracts for vendors, assistance with program planning and execution, coordination of advertisement of programs and events, coordination of all front desk functions, etc. As they arise, this position will assist with special projects that are designed to enhance the cultural competency of all RU-Newark students in interacting with diverse communities, in regard to components that require administrative and program coordination. These will change from year-to-year.

Job Requirements

Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of program coordination, organization, facilitation, report analysis, writing, and promotion/outreach. Also requires good communication skills and computer literacy.
