- Dear Students and Colleagues,
- Hunter College will be celebrating the life and legacy of Audre Lorde from October 11 through October 16, 2012. This marks the 20th Anniversary Year of Lorde's transition to the next realm.
- Unfortunately, the opening celebration, which will be held on Friday, October 12, 2012, is completely booked. However, this herstorical gathering will be made available through live streaming and will also be recorded and made available for viewing at a later date.
- There are still plenty of seats available for the mini-film festival celebrating Audre Lorde's Life and Legacy, which will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012 on Hunter’s new campus in East Harlem and Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Hunter’s main campus on East 68th Street. Discussants at the Saturday film screenings will included Aishah Shahidah Simmons, Darnell Moore, Jasmine Burnett, Maame-Mensima Horne, and Kwame Ocran. Please spread the word.
