In order to maximize the possibilities for improvement and recovery from an eating disorder, it is crucial that clinicians screen, diagnose, and effectively treat those co-morbid psychiatric conditions that elevate the level of complexity for these disorders.

This webinar will focus on the mood and anxiety disorders as well as Major Depressive Disorder. These are among the most common group of conditions associated with eating disorders. In Anorexia Nervosa, the prevalence of co-morbidity is reported as: Major Depressive Disorder (50-70%) and Anxiety Disorders (50-65%). The co-morbidity prevalence in Bulimia Nervosa is reported as: Major Depressive Disorder (approximately 60%) and Anxiety Disorders (36-58%).

This webinar will provide an extensive review of these co-morbid conditions and explore treatment options when they accompany an eating disorder. There will be time for responses to questions from attendees at the end of the program.
