Experience and Qualifications:
|
Requirements:
•Strong wellness and holistic nutrition focus with demonstrated group facilitation skills
•Baccalaureate Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics, Masters Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics preferred with active registration status and active membership in the American Dietetic Association
•Certified Diabetic Educator preferred
•Serve Safe Certification preferred
•Has working knowledge of and adheres to Joint Commission CMS standards relevant to Dietetics, New York State Department of Health Codes and Nutritional Care Department Quality Assurance Indicators
•Strong clinical nutrition education background with at least two years in hospital based nutrition experience preferred
•Strong familiarity with Data analysis and evidence-based nutritional care practice
•Strong familiarity with Microsoft office, Clinical Software System
•Familiarity with working in a collective bargaining environment |

Excellent opportunity for a qualified Lead Registered Dietician to be responsible for the supervision, scheduling and workload organization of the clinical nutritional care in both the inpatient and outpatient areas of the Hospital. In addition to supervisory
responsibilities, the Lead Registered Dietician is an essential team member of the clinical nutrition team and actively counsels patients through nutritional assessment, education, meal round observations and group workshops. Responsibilities include acting
as a liaison to the Nursing leaders and Physicians to encourage a more integrated and holistic view of clinical nutrition; ensuring data collection is completed in a timely basis and for the accurate and timely reporting of all clinical nutrition initiatives,
including the Teaching Kitchen; and conducting expansion of outpatient clinical nutrition counseling and billing practices. This position reports to the Manager of Clinical Nutrition Services. |
