We provide a diverse range of individualized, professional services that foster self-respect, personal responsibility and connection to community. Each year, we help more than 14,000 NYC residents make a positive change. Programs include: • Confidential HIV testing & counseling • Connection to medical care, including facilitation and coordination of services • Quality of life counseling and intervention to meet basic needs • Peer education, training and recovery support • Safe-practice counseling • Women's services • Mental health/support groups/spiritual guidance • Creative writing workshops to promote self-awareness and self-expression Our innovative case management approach addresses each client’s uniquely personal and medically specific needs. As a result, we develop sustainable solutions that maximize independence, promote wellness and help our clients reintegrate into society. Starting with a detailed assessment, we provide a continuum of medical care, mental health counseling, peer counseling and, as requested, spiritual guidance. To address issues faced by women with children and survivors of domestic violence, we also offer family counseling and facilitation of relevant legal services.
