Dear Colleagues,
Please mark your calendars to join us for a November 29 symposium: "Eliminating pediatric HIV: Hype vs. hope," hosted by Dr. Wafaa El-Sadr, Professor of Epidemiology and Medicine and Director of ICAP.
The aim of this day-long event is to facilitate conversation around the timely issue of eliminating pediatric HIV globally, within the context of other health imperatives faced by many of the most severely affected countries. The symposium will feature talks
on current scientific and innovative approaches to preventing HIV transmission in children as well as discussion of the economic and logistic challenges faced in attempting to achieve the goal of elimination.
This symposium is one in a series of
Columbia University Epidemiology Scientific Symposia (CUESS), which are dedicated to exploring cutting-edge scientific topics in epidemiology and population health. The series brings together leaders in the field and aims
to explore state-of-the science and to push the research agenda forward.
