Internship Program





2013 Summer Intern Possibilities




The Partnership for Strong Communities has begun accepting applications for its 2013 Annual Summer Interns Program. The 10-week internships, which will begin June 3, pay a stipend of $4,800 for 400 hours of work on significant projects related to homelessness, affordable housing and community development. Each intern is matched with a professional supervisor who will oversee the intern's work on one or more projects.

Qualifications:
  * Must have excellent work ethic, strong writing, and research skills.
  * Ability to work independently and as a team member of a small, non©\profit operation.
  * Undergraduates, graduate students in good standing or recent graduates who are innovative thinkers, problem solvers and interested in solutions to homelessness, affordable housing and community development.
  * Fields of knowledge and relevant background that could be helpful include: urban planning, sociology, social work, communications, public administration, public policy, marketing, and business development, community organizing.

Application:
  * Cover letter expressing why the candidate is interested in the internship
  * A r¨¦sum¨¦
  * 3-4 short writing samples, preferably published for class, on issues of public policy
