Join us for an interactive webinar on health disparities and health equity as it relates to the intersection of policy, action, and science in diabetes prevention and control.

At the conclusion of the webinar, participants will be able to—

·         Clearly understand concepts of health disparity, health inequality, health equity, the social determinants of health, and the fundamental causes within the context of the United States.

·         Describe the major components of the Department of Health and Human Services Action Plan to Reduce Racial and Ethnic Health Disparities, the National Prevention Strategy  [PDF–4.66MB], Elimination of Health Disparities  [PDF–0.98MB] focus area, and Strategy for Achieving Health Equity  [PDF–4.12KB] topic area.

·         Describe how the national framework has informed CDC’s diabetes prevention and control programmatic and research agendas.
