CAMBA's Food and Nutrition Services contract provides food services that include Congregate Meals, Food Pantry Bags, Food Vouchers and nutritional services to 300 HIV positive individuals and their minor children who are residents of NYC and who meet the financial
eligibility for the program. All enrolled clients will meet with our Registered Dieticians for an assessment and the completion of a Comprehensive Treatment Plan to address their food and/or nutrition needs. Clients identified as having special nutritional
needs will receive appropriate services including Individual Nutritional Counseling and Group Nutritional Education. Through counseling and group education, clients will learn about meeting their own, unique nutritional needs and ensuring proper nutrition
and diet while managing co-morbid conditions and treatment adherence. In counseling sessions, clients will set nutritional goals and make specific plans to achieve them. For clients whose physicians have made referrals for nutritional supplements, the appropriate
supplements will be distributed in conjunction with counseling sessions. The program staff will ensure that clients are connected and remain in HIV Primary Care in order to continue receiving services under this contract.
The person filling this position is expected, under general direction, to: (1) provide individual and/or group counseling services to assist individuals to understand the connection between proper nutrition and the relationship to a healthier lifestyle; (2)
counsel clients in dealing with such issues as: behavior, educational progress, family dynamics, mental and physical health, housing, personal finances, substance abuse, mental and/or physical trauma, etc.
The minimum qualification for this position is a Registered Dietician (RD), or a Certified Dietician/Nutritionist (CDN), or Registered Dietician Eligible (RDE) and experience with similar services.

POSITION TITLE: Hourly Public Program/Recreation Leaders
DEPARTMENT (s): Parks Programming
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
The Hourly Public Program/Recreation Leaders is responsible for engaging in daily public activities, programs, classes, and special events for New York City children, teens, and families as well as visitors from all over the world. This position reports to
the Parks Programming Field Supervisor, the Parks Programming Foreperson, as well as the Director of Parks Programming. This position starts in May and is anticipated to end in October.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Ability to engage and lead both large and small groups of children in playground games, sports, and creative activities.

Must have a strong sense of professional responsibility, excellent judgment, and communication skills
Perform other duties required in the scope of the job as designated by the Parks Programming Field Supervisor, the Parks Programming Foreperson, and/or the Director of Parks Programming.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma Required. Related training or college coursework in recreation, programming, and education for children, teens or adults is highly desirable.
This position requires experience working with the public of all ages; for example, adults, families, and children in camp, school, community center or similar setting.
Valid U.S. driver's license required.
